Berlin, February 11th – Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences, Europe’s pioneer in personalized online education, today announced the launch of the Deutschlandstipendium, a national scholarship designed to support high-achieving and socially committed students. This initiative represents a major step toward providing further access to purpose-driven leaders who actively shape the future.
As the world faces growing complexity, climate urgency, and societal challenges, one truth is clear: tomorrow belongs to those who combine talent with commitment and take responsibility to create impact. The Deutschlandstipendium allows Tomorrow University to invest in these individuals by providing financial support, recognition, and access to a vibrant community of changemakers.
The Deutschlandstipendium is a public-private partnership that provides €300 per month for up to 12 months to selected students - half funded by private donors such as companies, foundations, and individuals, and half matched by the German Federal Government. The grant is non-repayable, awarded regardless of income, and does not affect BAföG payments.
Importantly, these scholarships are offered in addition to Tomorrow University’s existing scholarships, creating more opportunities for students to access education without financial barriers. The Deutschlandstipendium is not combinable with other scholarships.
“With the Deutschlandstipendium, we’re extending opportunities to students who have the talent and drive to create impact, but who might otherwise face financial barriers. By adding this program on top of our existing scholarships, we’re broadening access and enabling more people to pursue purpose-driven education and leadership,” said Dr. Thomas Funke, Co-Founder & CEO of Tomorrow University
Tomorrow University is proud to highlight the first two donors, Hansen & Heinrich AG & Source for Alpha. Both are committed to funding one of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarships to give back and support the next generation of purpose-driven leaders.
“Supporting the next generation isn’t just an investment in individuals, it’s an investment in the future we all share. I’m funding a scholarship because I know what it feels like to be supported in your journey, and I want others to have the same chance to learn, grow, and lead with purpose.,” said Timon Heinrich from Hansen & Heinrich AG, Impact MBA student at Tomorrow University
Tomorrow University follows the official Stipendienvergabeordnung to ensure a fair and rigorous selection process. Candidates are evaluated not only for their academic achievements but also for:
