My Mission Statement
To me, everyone is like light. Some people are like candles, serving their families. Others are like street lights, serving their communities. And still others are like nuclear power plants, serving the world.
It's okay to be a candle, and it's okay to be an electric generator. Candles can become electric generators, and electric generators can become street lights.
Knowing oneself helps to stop doubting oneself when an electric generator starts comparing itself to a nuclear power plant.
My mission is to be the light, to inspire myself and others.
For me, being the light means shining, thriving, and leaving people better off after interacting with me.
To be a light is to highlight what people don't notice. As the founder of a university, I inspire and educate the daring to take action on their dreams.
The Principles of my life
- Life is too short to be overly serious. I like to be in the present, commit fully to whatever I’m doing and enjoy it as much as I can.
- For an optimist, life is not a problem, but already the solution. I love the concept of positive psychology. A joyful life depends on the perspective you take.
- If you give everything, you can’t blame yourself. Always do things better, to do better things.
I'm at my best
- In the morning.
- In a peaceful environment
- With full autonomy and freedom
- I love challenges. Especially when I’m trying to solve them with other people I trust and admire
- Taking a doing approach to learning: letting me tinker and play with something will typically be the fastest route to me understanding it.
- In a team where I can trust everyone and others trust me to do things right.
I can’t stand
