Overview of Action Hubs
Tomorrow University’s Action Hubs are vibrant local communities where learners connect, collaborate, and engage in meaningful in-person activities. These hubs are designed to complement your ToU remote learning experience by fostering a sense of belonging and providing opportunities to network, learn and create impactful change locally.
As an Action Hub Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Tomorrow University experience in your city or region by organising and leading activities for fellow learners.
About the Role
The Action Hub Lead role is a vital role within the ToU Community, that combines community building and event planning and helps you flex your leadership and organisation muscles! As an Action Hub Lead you will:
- Create a monthly programme of meaningful connection opportunities in your region; Think social events, coworking, volunteering and inspiring talks or speakers
- Take the lead in bringing our Community Immersion to life; through organising and hosting Action Hub week activities twice a year, in collaboration with other Action Hub Leaders. For 2025, our Action Hub Weeks are 31 March - 6 April and 29 September - 5 October
- Regularly engage new and established Action Hub members; Through welcoming content, Slack channel & Whatsapp group engagement
- Build connections; Collaborate with local inspiring individuals and organisations, to help your Hub make meaningful local impact. We will give you the tools and training to do this!
- Research and promote events and local opportunities: Research and share details of relevant local events (e.g. workshops, lectures and conferences) that align with Tomorrow University’s mission and learners’ interests, or where there may be attendees interested in joining our Community!
- Create outsized impact; Share inspiring reflections and your Hub activities with the global ToU Community and to your external networks
Time Commitment
- Approximately 1 hour per week, depending on event planning and promotional activity timelines
- Commit for at least 6 months
- We expect most Action Hub activity to be focused around our Q1 and Q3 Immersions, where Action Hubs have a dedicated week for connection
We know you are busy, so you won’t be alone! Alongside support from the Tomorrow University Team, we are looking to recruit at least two Action Hub leads per Hub! This means working within your own team of peers equally passionate about making local impact!
